  • Water Electrolysis Develop commercial-scale water electrolysis technology that produces hydrogen from water using carbon-free electricity such as solar and wind power to ensure a stable hydrogen supply.
  • Hydrogen Extraction Develop efficient and cost-effective hydrogen extraction technologies using raw materials such as natural gas and ammonia.

Hydrogen Storage/Transportation

Support the development of technologies to establish an economical and stable hydrogen supply system.

  • Hydrogen Transport Develop core technologies for safely transporting hydrogen stored in high-pressure gaseous or liquid forms to demand sites, including transport vehicles and pipelines.
  • Hydrogen Refueling Stations Develop core equipment/component technologies for high-pressure gaseous and liquid hydrogen refueling stations, which supply hydrogen as fuel for hydrogen mobility.

Support the development of hydrogen fuel cell technologies for carbon-free power generation and expanded mobility applications.

  • Buildings/Power Generation Development of fuel cells applicable to buildings and distributed power sources, utilizing high-efficiency clean power generation technology that directly converts the chemical energy of hydrogen into electricity and heat.
  • Hydrogen Mobility Development of high-efficiency, high-durability fuel cells for land, marine, and aviation applications, utilizing hydrogen energy to generate propulsion through fuel cell systems.

Support the development of safety technologies to ensure the reliability of critical energy facilities and prevent accidents.

  • Hydrogen Safety Proactive safety technologies to establish a clean hydrogen ecosystem, ensuring the reliability of hydrogen full-cycle (production, storage/transportation, utilization) facilities/equipment, and developing accident prevention technologies.
  • Electrical Safety Develop disaster prevention technologies by integrating IoT and ICT with electrical facilities (220V–154kV) to enhance safety and reduce electrical hazards.
